Braised Ginger Tofu
薑汁豆腐燒 Jianzhi Dofuxiao
One of my friend said, the key of Chinese food is good sauce!? Hmm I 50% agree, because good sauce is just one part of Chinese food! But I really need to say, Chinese food is really good at playing seasonings! This dish, not just tasty tofu, also brings an amazing sause! Braised Ginger Tofu with Five Sacred Grains=need to have the 2nd stomatch!

Ingredients
- Tofu 1
- Chopped ginger 1 tbap
- Sliced onion 1/2 (Option veggies)
- Olive oil 1/2 tbsp
Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
- Chopped ginger 1 tbsp
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Salt reduced light soysauce 1.5 tbsp
- White wine 1 tbsp
Directions
Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
- Mix all the ingredients listed as above in a bowl and keep aside for later.
Braised Ginger Tofu
- Heat the frying pan over high heat, add olive oil and cut the tofu into 4 pieces.
- Fry the tofu, cook until two sides are tinged brown, keep in a plate for using later.
- In the pan, add olive oil and fry the onions until it's soft, add fried tofu and teriyaki sauce, low heat and cook until 1/2 sauce left.
